He completado los 60 lecciones de aprender espanol!

Question

I never thought I could do it but I stuck with it and it was fun. I now need to put into Practice what ive learnt.

Any suggestions for moving forward? I dont want to loose momentum.

Congratulations!! That is a great achievement. You will be learning your whole life. Read every day and do some practicing. You can get into a Skype group and practice your Spanish. There is so much on line for Spanish it is unbelievable. Look for it and you will find it.

Great! This will provide you with a very good solid basic foundation upon which you can build your understanding of Spanish. You may wish to revisit some of these videos at a later stage to refresh your memory, clarify your understanding or better understand something more complex eg the subjunctive., por v para or the preterite v imperfect

Now you want to go forward I would suggest/recommend that you check out the chatroom here. It is also beneficial to join one of the Skype chats that Heidita and others host. If you are interested please send an e-mail to Heidita (Engl: Heidi) and provide her with your Skype nick-name(user name). She will need this in order to add you her list of contacts so she can invite you to join a chat.

Another beneficial idea, once you have a Skype account, is to find a native speaker with whom you can have a language partnership: that is you help them with your native language eg with their English and they help you to improve your Spanish.

Other things you can do to improve your Spanish is to participate in the many activities at Spanish Dict

1 Word of the Day and Picture of the Day threads

2 Learning Games and activities You can ask Kiwi girl, Lovely or Heidi about these

3 Use your Spanish to congratulate people on their successes eg reaching 10k reputation points

4 Listen to Spanish Tv/radio LoMASTV is a good site that provides opportunity to listen to various Spanish accents at different speeds.

5 Read simple Spanish books

Its quite interesting (and somewhat funny) to see how this post has resurfaced more than a year later. It just made me realize how long I have been using this site even after having completed the video lessons. I never thought I could stick to a hobby that long! And it has become a bit more than a hobby now. Obsession perhaps
