The SD Family: Sharing Special Moments
This site is so amazing and its members even moreso. My son is going to be married at 5:00PM today. So you might be wondering why I would bother to spend any time in the forum at all today. ![]()
Well I am dressed and ready to go. I feel like a celebrity since someone just spent an hour doing my makeup and creating long, spiraling curls, etc. Now all I have to do is sit here quietly at the hotel, waiting to leave for the church. By reading the questions and answers in the forum, I am preventing myself from becoming a mess physically and emotionally before the ceremony begins. ![]()
In general, it just made me think about how great everyone is here and the fact that this is such a wonderful, friendly language learning family. In the time I have been active in the forum, it is great to see how people not only learn together. They also share their triumps great in small as they progress in Spanish/English. People are able to share extremely sad experiences such as sickness and the loss of loved ones, as well as extremely happy moments, like I am today.
Bueno, muchas gracias a mis amigos aquí. Le agradezco todo lo que compartimos en familia.
You guys are the best!! ![]()

Enhorabuena Nicole, as a mother of two unmarried 'twenty-somethings' I look forward to experiencing what you are going through now, and hopefully you will be beautifully calm when you go to the ceremony and remember 'hay que gozar de cada momento'. Spanish expresses it better I think.

Thank you for sharing. You are probably waiting patiently at the church now (it's 4:35pm my time U.S.). I see you are from Philly, nice! I truly can hope and pray that your son has met the love of his life, as I have, and that they have a happy and loving marriage. It's a blessing to be married to the one you love. God Bless!
