Question

Known in some circles as a member of the Translation Vigilantes, MacFadden has often been the first one there to greet and guide some of SD's newest members.

Famous for how gently she points the new members in the right direction before some of us less gentle souls can run them off, she probably has more Rep for not answering their questions than for answering them! Rep well earned!

Seeing all your posts today has been so great. Thank you all so much. Really. Especially you, Late. [Deleted bit.] It is by far the nicest thing anyone I’ve never spoken to face-to-face has ever done for me.

As for the rest of you, my affection and appreciation for all of you is totally out of proportion to what I ever would have expected to have for a bunch of people with whom I discuss Spanish online. Though I do not know you, all the little flickers of yourselves that show through the text are outrageously endearing. I love being here, and hope you all stick around much longer than I do--it would be no fun without you.
