"At the same time"

Question

How would you say "at the same time" in spanish? For example; You are playing sports and talking to your girlfriend at the same time. She sneezed at the same time he did. I love you, but at the same time, I don't think we should be together.

I believe I used it three different ways to make sure if I ever need this phrase in those types of situations, it won't just apply to one way and not the other.

How would you say "at the same time" in spanish? For example; You are playing sports and talking to your girlfriend at the same time.

I would use mientras for this situation (although there are probably other options)

?Jugaba baloncesto mientras hablaba con mi novia - I was playing basketball while talking to my girl

She sneezed at the same time he did.

For this one, you might try a sentence using al mismo tiempo or a la vez

?Estornudó a la vez/al mismo tiempo que él- She sneezed at the same time as him

I love you, but at the same time, I don't think we should be together.

For this one you might just use no obstante, sin embargo or possibly a pesar de eso

?Te quiero pero a pesar de eso, no creo que vayamos juntos - I love you but despite that, I don't think that we belong together.

?Te quiero pero a pesar de eso, no creo que estuviéramos hechos el uno para el otro - I love you but in spite of that, I don't believe that we were made for one another.

Hi, Samantha. Thanks for editing your post to include your attempt. What you have is close, but a better way to say it is "al mismo tiempo." I can see how you think it might be "al tiempo mismo;" most of us were taught that adjectives go after nouns in Spanish, and while this is true in many cases, there are many cases where this doesn't quite apply. Here's an article that explains where to put the adjective.

Update: As Izanoni explains, there are many ways to say it and they vary by context. I was just working on a generic way to say it that was similar to your first attempt.
