I'm currently reading William Gibson's "País de Espías" (Spook Country). Before that I read "El Prisionero de Azkaban" (The Prisoner of Azkaban).

I have read two young-adult books in Spanish. Both were translated to Spanish from English. The first is "La Telaraña de Carlota". (Charlotte's Web") This is an immensely popular book among both young and older readers, and won several highly regarded literary prizes. I highly recommend it.
I just finished "La Casa de Mango Street" which describes a young Latina's experiences in her community and her desire to leave it. It too has been a prize winner. I didn't enjoy it as much as the other, but it was good reading.
I'm looking for more suggestions - I wish that posters here would describe other books they like, and why.
Someday I will read Cien Años de Solidad but I want to read a few more easier books before that.
Just about every week I read a short story from the ¿Y Qué Me Cuentas? blog.
Casi termino leyendo "De Como Tía Lola salvó el Verano." También estoy leyendo "Los Juegos Del Hambre." Cuando termino el libro voy a ver la pelicula. La nueva pelicula será disponible en noviembre, pero no estoy seguro que pueda leer el segunda parte antes de noviembre llega.
I'm almost finished reading "How Aunt Lola Saved the Summer." I am also reading "The Hunger Games." When I finish the book I am going to see the movie. The new movie will be available in November, but I am not sure that I can read the second part before November arrives.

I' would recommend reading Mariana Ferrer books like Amor a Primera Vista,Mi nombre es Sara, and any book by Armando Fuentes Aguirre "Catón".
I'm reading "The Old Man and the Sea" in Spanish. It was really slow at first, having to look up every other word or phrase. Now I can get through a half the sentences without looking anything up, and when I do, it's just one or two new words or a new phrases. I'm really enjoying it.
My Spanish isn't good enough for much beyond the Lola Lago detective series and the Funny Tales in Easy Spanish series featuring El Hospital Loco and the many adventures of Jaimito.
