A - Z Game: What I love about Spain, the Spanish people, the language and the culture...

We have been having so much fun building vocabulary with A-Z games that I was thinking about how to celebrate Spain and the Spanish people, language and culture with a new A-Z game.

So, let's see how many great Spanish things we can come up with...

Enjoy this list, vote on your favorites, or add your own favorite thing (staying in alphabetical order, please!)

To make it visually interesting, please try to post a picture.

Just remember to click on "NEWEST" before you post something, to double check that the word you think is the newest really is!

I'll go first with "A."

One of my favorite things about Spain that begins with "A" is alioli, a wonderful garlic mayonnaise that goes great with patatas bravas or tortilla española, or any of a number of other great Spanish dishes.

It comes from the Catalan, where I am told it means garlic and oil.

It is a really fun word to say.

So, what is YOUR favorite thing about Spain?

Question: In the Spanish alphabet, is "l" a separate letter from "ll?" I'm thinking now that it is. Oops.
