The basic meanings of both "vigil" (English) and "vigilia" (Spanish) are about staying awake (for whatever purpose). If you intend to restrict the meaning to staying awake for religious purposes (to pray), you should modify the noun in some way to fit the context.

Are you asking for the word 'vigil"? Its almost the same. Or you could call it a prayer vigil.
