Problem with the "vote" button.

Question

There are some links and such that work normally, but as for the vote buttons in the answers and reference forums, I sometimes have to click several times after the page loads from the first click and the ones following, just to see that the answer or question has received my vote. It's not so fun to vote for people when it doesn't even work.

I have that problem every so often. It happened two days ago for a few hours, but then everything returned to normal.

If this is just happening all of a sudden, I would hang in there and see if the problem corrects itself. If it has always been like this, I would contact an administrator.

It seems like many of us have strange and unusual problems with points/badges/PM's. Those problems are not very frustrating. However, when you can't vote for posts you like, that can be a problem.

Are you sure it only happened with you few times because I always have the same problem always and I have to make sure that the person I voted for had the points otherwise I am not sure if I voted or not ,sometimes I vote for answers and questions normally without any problems but after then when I see the same answer or question again I discover that I didn't vote for it !!!!???

This has always been a problem for me.. The vote goes up and then goes down. I have to keep on clicking until I am sure that the vote has remained. This is especially true at the beginning of the threads for voting for the person who has started the thread. It does continue down the thread, but does not seem as bad. You do have to double check to make sure that the person has received your vote.

I don't really worry about it. I blame it on the ads. Not all of them, but the obnoxious ones. Some are soooo technical that they just tie up my machine.

Sometimes, I think it accepts my vote, just doesn't show up until I have moved on.

Since the note under the vote - vote or unvote - is so clear, I know I will catch and correct when I come back to what the comments have been added.

And Joel, it reminds me that I opened in Internet Explorer, I seldom see that hesitation when I use Fireox.
