A problem with my PM ''in box''
Hi everybody 
,I have a little problem with my ''in box '' it keeps saying 1 message received but actually there isn't any new messages that I haven't read yet I reviewed all the messages and there isn't anything new , so is this a kind of computer viruses or what ? ( this is a new problem it only happened today ,I don't know why ? I am afraid that it could be a virus !! )

Hi, Lovely. I figured out what this is.
When you had a message in your in box, but deleted it without reading it, the system still thinks that you have one "unread" message. Of course, there is no message because you already deleted it.
Unfortunately, my mail always says "four unread messages" because I deleted some messages without reading them....and now I have found no way to correct the message.
p.s. I don't delete anyone's PM messages without reading them. I answer all my PMs. However, many times I read them in my personal email account and respond via personal email.
It doesn't sound like any kind of virus to me, just a glitch. What inbox is this--your email inbox or your SpanishDict inbox? Is it an email program like Outlook or do you access it directly, like Gmail or Hotmail? I have a strategy that works about 50% of the time when I've tried all the rational solutions: reboot!
lovely maybe you can send me an empty PM just write anything on it and I will delete it without reading it so if it shows that I have 1 unread then Marianne was right

The same thing happened with my SD in box today. It kept showing a new message and there would be no new message. Today, I had to reboot 4 times because the system was so slow. I think that it will go away. It is probably just a glitch.
It is probably a glitch Lovely. There are all sorts of crazy little things that occur. When I vote people up, I hardly ever earn the "one" point that everyone else receives. I also noticed that even though I have been active in the forum for one year, that it doesn't show that with the badges (noticed this by accident ).
The really important things usually do work for the most part, so the little problems don't matter that much. I would say that if someone really needs to get in touch with you, they will try again. Otherwise the glitch shouldn't be a problem for you. 
I'm not sure about Marianne's explanation of the cause but my in-box has shown two unread messages almost since day one even though it is empty. When I get a new PM the count goes up but after I delete everything, it still only goes down to "2 unread messages".
The system is obviously keeping track of arrivals, readings and deletions but never actually counting what's there, so if the base count gets screwed up (for whatever reason) the system just keeps adding to/subtracting from the erroneous count.
Mine has been saying "2 unread" messages for months. I wondered why as well.
Oh no , what I was afraid from happened someone sent me a PM and it's not exist in my PM in-box I didn't even see it 
and that's so baaaaaad 
I don't know if my PM in-box works in even sending messages 
is there any suggestions ??!!
