Please correct my Spanish attempt!

The Spanish sentence above comes from the translation engine - I am not sure if the use of the preposition "bajo" is correct.

The idea is that the National Weather Service has issued a warning that heat and humidity levels present a hazard to health - we are "under a warning," but I understand "bajo" to have more to do with spatial relationships. What is the correct way to express the idea "under a warning?"

I think one could also say, "Hay una advertencia del calor excesivo." to communicate the basic idea, but I am wondering how to translate more exactly what the TV meteorologist said.

I would use "alerta" "Hay una alerta de calor excesivo ".

I think that's just how it would be said in Spanish - "Hay un aviso de calor excesivo."
