That one guy, what's his name
I often forget names of things that are not particularly close to home since my brain is always busy remembering something else. So I often say "The best chefs are Kevin, Mark, and that one guy". I do this all the time. Call that guy. Call that one guy. Mark and that one guy are coming over. Mark y ese tipo van a venir aquí a nuestra casa". Wow "come over" has even slipped my mind at this point.
Gracias.

"María, Bob, Mark, Ese tipo / chico / hombre / tío - ¿cómo se llama..?, Ellen..."
I agree with Mac on this - I remember people always saying... ese tío, ¿cómo se llama? ese tío - ¿dónde está? ... y el tío que vino contigo? etc etc...
I'm not positive I catch your question, but a way to say "what's-his-name" is "fulano de tal" or just "ese fulano" (or feminine: "fulana de tal" or "esa fulana)....for what it's worth.
There's got to be quicker way to say than something that long, because I say it all the time in English, what do you say if you are rushing through a sentence and you can't remember a name? Maria, him, Bob, Mark, that guy, her, Ellen, whoever that is, whats it, that other dude.....
"Ese tipo, ahora mismo, no me sale su nombre"
" That guy, right now, I can't think of his name."
You have Guy Fieri, Alton Brown, Giada de Laurentiis (ok she's not a guy but...), Martin Yan, Emeril Lagasse (B A M!!) etc. Hope you find what your looking for!! ![]()
