Hola, JWoww, and welcome to the site.

We don't do your homework for you here - but I will offer a couple of hints to get you started.

Imagine yourself using Spanish. What situation would that be? How could Spanish help you? It could be something big or something little. If you think of a few situations you can probably answer that question.

Click around the site a little to see what's here. Especially look at the reference tools under the "more" tab at the top of the page. You can use them a lot in your class!

I hope you'll enjoy your Spanish class!

You never know, what if you needed to use the Jaws of Life and the instructions were only in Spanish! Right, Rev? - LateToDinner, Aug 12, 2010
Ha - we have a saying that I'm not good enough to translate - when in trouble or in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout. :) - revmaf, Aug 12, 2010
That's a new one for me - love it!!! - margaretbl, Aug 13, 2010

How to use a spanish dictionary for conjugation and meaning of words, tenses and expressions.

Direct and indirect objects were and still are the hardest thing for me to learn.

If you can get that, then go for the "when to use para and por."

How to use the word "se."

You could say you want to have a real conversation with someone else (another sutdent perhaps) in español.

Also, you could say you wanted the teacher to take you guys out to a mexican restaurant and everybody order their own lunch.

Suggest using "Skype" and talk with a willing soul in South America (in your classroom). Spanish Dict. has a "Skype" group. I believe they meet on Saturdays or something, Heidita is the administrator for that, Maybe you could get into one of their sessions and see what they're doing or, they could show you how to start your own "skype" group.

I think these suggestions are pretty specific. Is that what you were looking for?

I have a suggestion..... since we have a very large population of our neighbors to the south... Ask the teacher if she can teach the mexican version of spanish so that it can be used more often . My daughter had three different teachers for Spanish... each with their own variation of the language
