Tell me if you receive it!

Tell me if you receive it!

Hello everyone! I am writing a quick e-mail to a friend who is waiting to receive a letter in the mail. I could just send him this without checking the grammar because I know he knows what I mean and he won't correct me, but I want to learn! I would like to say "Tell me if you receive the letter by Saturday." I have written: "Dime si recibes la carta por el sábado." Is this correct? Thank you!

It looks pretty good but I'm thinking it might be 'para' instead of 'por' - better wait for a native speaker to confirm it though smile

I think you're right! I looked up para in the dictionary and it says that para is used to say if you are doing something "by" some time. Thanks! - EggmanS, Aug 11, 2010
