Can the spanish word "alimana" be translated as "predator" in English

Not really. The best and most common translation for "alimaña" is "vermin".

Yes I believe it can, but don't forget the ˜ tilde 
Alimaña:
predator, beast, blood sucker, pest, vermin, large animal
you can also use predador(a)
