Podría means would be able to do. or could : the verb is poder , the tense is Conditional

  • "Si estuvieras aquí podríamos hablar cara a cara..."

If you were here we would be able to talk face to face..

  • "Si tenía un gato podría darle todo mi amor.."

If I had a cat I could give him all my love..

The Conjugation :

yo podría

podrías

él / ella / usted podría

nosotros podríamos

vosotros podríais

ellos / ellas / ustedes podrían

Hi Why Imperfect subjunctive in first example and imperfect indicative in the second? Are they interchangeable? - aeroplod, Aug 8, 2010
Good question. I would have used imperfect subjunctive for both. - KevinB, Aug 8, 2010

This sounds suspiciously like homework. I'll give you a hint: look up poder in the dictionary here and go to the conjugation tool. It will tell you the answer.

Or simply it may be a beginner ;) - culé, Aug 8, 2010
That's what I thought until they asked for 2 sentences using the word. 1 sentence is a beginner, 2 sentences is homework - KevinB, Aug 8, 2010
