(This photo shows a "part" of a mystery object from my life. The challenge? Guess what the object is and the function of the object.

If you can, post in Spanish and English, and, if clues are needed I will post them "along the way" so keep your eyes "peeled". And, a new rule for my game friends - you can post "multiple times" of course but please - one guess per post! That gives everyone "present" a chance to have a "stab at it" and makes it easier for me to follow the thread and the answers. Thanks everyone

Did you see the PM about your photo disappearing from Natural Feature Photos? - LateToDinner, Aug 8, 2010
It was a tricky MO - I'd never seen such a thing...before yesterday that is :o - nonombre, Aug 8, 2010
I"m just about to check my PMs but haven't "deleted" any photos for ages...I know not to... - nonombre, Aug 8, 2010
Congratulations! Your persistence really paid off. - sagiia, Aug 8, 2010
Thank you,Sagiia. But only because you and Font weren't there and lucky for me Ray was preoccupied. - LateToDinner, Aug 8, 2010
I've never seen one like it, so I wouldn't have got it. - fontanero, Aug 9, 2010

- nonombre, Aug 7, 2010
Oops, I wasn't guessing ... I was so sure! I actually felt bad that MO 48 was already over. Oh, dear! - LateToDinner, Aug 7, 2010
I can see why you would think along the lines of "insulators" and electricity...I "came across" this MO yesterday and thought "'No-one will e-v-e-r get this!" - nonombre, Aug 7, 2010

Hi Annie, here goes, the part showing is the base of a pole of some sort - maybe a clothes line pole? raspberry

English:But since I'm here, I'll will kick off with a personal thought the object appears to be made of glass? But then... a two mile long (2 metres) glass piece? Perhaps it is of marble. I see grass around it; perhaps it is part of the street appendage; it can't be a lamp post, because a lamp post would not be 2 metres.

p.s. Corrections is a part of this feature. Though I admit to using the translation, it does not always give out the best of translations. Therefore, pls correct where needed.

(And Nise as you have probably worked out my Spanish is still very dodgey and so I'm a bit out of my depth trying to correct the Spanish of others'. But perhaps someone else can lend a hand? - nonombre, Aug 7, 2010
Of course - thanks Margaret, I didn't notice that - yes 1.83 metres is 6ft (a "tall" person) - nonombre, Aug 7, 2010
Yah! THanks Margaret. Since this is the very excitement of my life right now, I was rumininating on it all, and realized that on my way to work today. metres = yds - Nise, Aug 9, 2010

It's so tiny! Nise thought you said 2 miles! Even 2 meters looks to be an exageration. Well, I hope you saw it in somebody else's grass! - LateToDinner, Aug 8, 2010
No from top to bottom - two metres - you can't see it "all" in this photo:o - nonombre, Aug 8, 2010
Perhaps not all of it, but these 4 little rubber dohickies looked so much larger in your initial challenge! - LateToDinner, Aug 8, 2010
And again ... thanks for taking the effort to do all of this. And for answering in Spanish. Even if I have to look somethings up, I appreciate the Spanish answers. - LateToDinner, Aug 8, 2010

English: The end piece (top piece or last side piece ) seems to have an encaving just as a vase might, but less pronounced. Or else, it also seems to look like a large round see through bulb could be there. Of course, all this attempt is likely illusional. but its my thought process to get this rolling.

Buenas noches Annie.

(Generally when you use this MO it would not be (lying) on the ground. ) - nonombre, Aug 7, 2010
