¡Hola!

I'm just curious about one thing... which of the South American versions of Spanish is the most different from and alien to the Continental (European) Spanish? And which one is the closest to its linguistic originator?

Thank you.

I don't know from experience, but I've heard that Argentinian Spanish is Spanish with an Italian accent (from a guy who grew up there).

I've also heard that Colombian Spanish is very easy to understand. However, Cuenca, Equador, is supposed to be the most like Spain-ish Spanish.
