Spanish Scrabble (New and improved version!)

Here's an improved version of Spanish scrabble. Thanks to fontanero and LateToDinner for their suggestions! grin

Here are the instructions for the new version:

  • I'll give you a starting word
  • You have to change ONE letter in that word AND/OR shuffle the letters to form a new word
  • The next person changes a letter in the newly created word and then AND/OR shuffles them to form a new one

Example

pero but......starting word

rape monkfish.....created by first person (this person has changed O for A and shuffled the letters)

peal sock, worthless person, lasso.....created by second person (R has been changed to L)

and so on.....do you get the idea? smile

Rules

  • you cannot add letters, you're only allowed to change one letter.
  • your word does not have to follow an alphabetical order
  • your word must be in Spanish
  • you can ony change one letter
  • make sure you include the English translation
  • Pictures in your posts are very welcome

Always click NEWEST before posting to see the last word created.

This is because when people vote for answers the order gets disrupted .

Your word can be any type- noun, adjective, adverb etc. but just make sure it follows the rules

Have fun and learn lots!

STARTING WORD

alborotar to disturb, to unsettle, to mess up; to stir up, to rouse, to make a racket, to agitate, to excite

You may need to reconsider the starting word. There may be a wizard or two that can do something with alborotar but there won't be enough to make this one float.

I think 4 was a little short, would like to see 6, but to make it achievable you may want to go with 5 letter words.

Maybe start with Rotar and save albo for later.

Great idea starting with the word of the day, ... just the wrong day.

I agree. The starting word won't make this game take off. - --Mariana--, Aug 6, 2010

I agree with LateToDinner. The closest I could come was laborador, which appears in our dictionary, but doesn't appear to be a real word that I can find anywhere else. hmmm

On the upside, this is going to really make me want to find a way to make it work. I'm stubborn like that.

Sorry, just trying to come up with something with a letter that breaks us free of this word. :) - Anadrien, Aug 6, 2010

That vote had to come from someplace! - LateToDinner, Aug 6, 2010
Haha. I know. Hence the smile. I still haven't managed to come up with anything though... why, oh why, can I not make up my own verb conjugations? :) - Anadrien, Aug 6, 2010
