why would the mexican guys at work call me borrega?

I work with alot of mexican fellows and many of them call out hey borrega or something that sounds like that. why would the call me a little lamb i am 41 years old and older than many of them. is this an insult to me?

It may be an insult to you. Borrega also means simpleton or a soft, ignorant fellow. Also, in Mexico borrega seems to mean a lie or a tall story.
