No way. Eso va totalmente contra las reglas. You can get in a lot of trouble for combinar inglés y español

Right. The straight answer, as Margaret points out, is that you can - and to a certain point should- post in both languages. Just keep each version separate.

There are several good reasons for posting in both languages. One is that students of either language will be able to understand the post. Another is that it is good practice for the one doing the posting. Finally, posting in both languages should allow either students to see examples of how something is said in the language they are studying, or for the poster to get corrections if he or she wrote incorrectly.

Of course, it is not always done, but it is a nice touch when it happens.

La respuesta "en serio" es como lo indica Margaret. Sí se puede - y hasta cierto punto se debe- publicar las contribuciones en ambos lenguajes. Tan solo mantén ambas versiones separadas.

Hay varias buenas razones para publicar en las dos lenguas. Una es que así los estudiantes de uno u otro lenguaje podrán entender lo escrito. Otra es que es buena práctica para quien lo escribe. Finalmente, publicar en ambas lenguas debería permitir que los estudiantes vean ejemplos de cómo se dice algo en el lenguaje que están estudiando, o en cualquier caso que quien escribe reciba correcciones si cometió algún error.

Por supuesto, esto no siempre se hace, pero es un toque agradable cuando sucede.

Actually I am in favor of more mixed answers like his. And like your question.

If the site was all in Spanish, I (and I suspect many others) would be too overwhelmed to be here.

And being all in English is pointless for me, even if I have learned a few new things in English!

Understanding the answer (which the English allows me to do) helps make the Spanish understandable. The more Spanish I read (and hopefully, understand) the more sense I can make out of it but I just don't care to have to look up every word and figure out the tense of each verb ...
