How did the expression, "Si, se puente" come into use? Is it a misspelling of "Si, se puede?"

I know that the expression, Si, se puede means, Yes, we can. Why are some people using the expression, Si, se puente?

Googling I saw several references to it. It definitely is linked to Obama and his Yes, we can campaign slogan. I also saw several references linking it to this video by Will i am of the Black Eyed Peas., but watching it, I saw no references to Sí, se puede or Sí, se puente.

I would say, however, that your assumption is correct. It is a misspelling of Sí, se puede. (Even though that would be Yes, you can or Yes, one can or even Yes, they can and not Yes, we can)

All and all, the guy silk screening T shirts must have been higher than a kite.
