My wife and I were recently divorced. Not a bad thing; she was my best friend before we wed and now I have my best friend back.

I have sold almost everything I had in Costa Rica and I am off to live a life long child hood dream “hobo”.LOL I will be leaving in a couple of days to backpack Central America. I have only one planned destination, visit some Tico friends in San Vito, the rest of my trip will be impromptu with no end date.

I have no idea when I am going to log back on to SD after I start my journey near the end of the week and sell my laptop; but until then I will keep enjoying SD. I just wanted to say thanks, I enjoyed the time I spent on SD.

¡Pura Vida!

I never thought I would do it but then I never thought I would move to CR. Our comfort zone is hard to leave. - 00a52084, Aug 1, 2010

I am sorry to hear about the divorce, but it is good that you can still be best friends.

I think it would be absolutely fascinating to be able to follow you through Central America. Hopefully you will find a way to continue communicating with us.smile

Either way, my thoughts go with you as you embark on this exciting new adventure!!

Have fun! Make sure to bring us some good local knowledge of the different types of Spanish you will be fortunate to hear in the coming months.

You can play catch up at the internet café. You don't have to go cold turkey.

But boy am I jealous of the trip!

The best of luck to you.

I planned on it. I have to hit I-cafe to keep in touch with my best friend. Magicjack is a wonderful gadget. - 00a52084, Aug 1, 2010
