Is it correct to say "population census" in english?

I would just say "El censo." Adding¨"Población" just makes it redundant.

Agreed, the U.S. is conducting its 10-year population count this year and it is simply called "the census." I have never heard it called "population census." - revmaf, Aug 2, 2010

I think that "población censada" refers to the people who were actually accounted for in the census. Sometimes people are not included, or refuse to participate.
