It depends on context. If it is preceded by las or by a quantity, or followed by a plural adjective (cosas raras), it is probably 'things'.
If it is not preceded by las, or a quantity, it can be the second person singular present subjunctive of the verb coser, to sew or to staple to gether. And sounding very much like that is coses, second person singular present. According to my version of SpanishDict.
In a novela or in the news?
Welcome to the SpanishDict forum, johnipayette!
cosas is the plural of cosa
cosa = thing
cosas = things
I looked in the SpanishDict dictionalry and didn't find it either!
Cosa - Thing, object, matter, affair. Just put it in the plural. By the way it is a feminine noun.
Hola,
When you are looking for a definition of a Spanish word there are a few things to remember.
It might be plural.
If it sounds like b, it could be v. Spanish speakers may also confuse these letters,possibly transposing them when writing something.
The h is silent and can trip you up. Spanish speakers may drop or add an h when writing.
The ll and y are pronounced the same, but, depending on the region, may sound like the English y or s before ion as in television.
The c before i or e and the z sound like s.
These are the biggies I think. There could be a few more, but all are minor compared to English.
And on Univision you also have the opportunity to subscribe to:

Cosas =stuff. Very important word in spoken Spanish.
