¿Cómo es estudiar como extranjero?
Hi to all,
I wonder if some of you in SpanishDict are or were students who left their homecountry or even whole continent and went to study somewhere else?
It would be great to hear some experiences. Did you change your studying subject? How were you able to pay for your studies, or find some scholarships?
How's life in a different culture?
(I am curious because in future I want to leave Europe and continue studies in South America.)
Any experience is welcome here ![]()

Si tenés preguntas, me preguntás! No vas a molestarme.
Hi there, I´m a Greek who studied in the UK. I wouldn´t be able to tell you anything about changing subjects or scholarships because here the educational system is a bit different. I could only tell you that I paid for my Bachelor and Masters degree by myself.
About the different culture, however, I can give you my opinion. It is all a matter of being open to new ways of thinking, living and acting. You know you are going to a different country and you have to adapt to the new culture. Especially in Latin America you would not have a problem to do it, since people there are quite friendly and warm, which always helps. You will adapt even quicker if you try to speak the language. People always like it when a foreigner does that in their country!
