Hi Snow, well you did get a lot of responses, it can be 'The Hills' 'The Mountains' 'The Mountain Range' and then la sierra can be 'saw'. I once asked a Spanish speaking person 'why is it called 'La Sierra'' and they replied 'well that's what it looks like, doesn't it. But afterwards I thought, well the mountains were there long before they invented saws, so it doesn't really make sense, does it. Anyway.... that's more for you to think about!!

We have a latin store chain called 'Tres Sierras' and the logo is three mountains.

Snowleopard, are you aware that you can double click on a single word and get its translation? Or just enter it into the dictionary up in the toolbar.

Hola,

If the mountain or saw definition isn't right, try this (Scomberomorus sierra) from answers.com

So It translates it to mountain. I was hoping a native Spanish speaker could tell me if this is correct.
