Is there a Spanish noun equivalent to "Speller"
As in, she has won the spelling bee three years in a row. She is really a good speller.
On a related note, I'm guessing that spelling bees are primarily an English speaking phenomenon because of the multiplicity of sounds that each letter may have in English and the fact that letters in English are assembled in odd ways to get certain sounds that phonetically are more closely associated with other letters. For example, one would not intuitively spell photograph with a "ph" rather than an "f" and But in Spanish, most letters have only one phonetic sound so spelling is less a mystery (except for the accents or tilda's or whatever they are called).
So are their what Americans call spelling bees in Spanish speaking countries and, if so, what is the word in Spanish for one who is a good speller?

She is really a good speller. = "ella realmente es buena deletreando" or " Ella realmente es buena en ortografía"
deletreador(a)
This is a pretty literal translation of the word. Other options: silabario, abecedario.
To be a good speller would be "tener buena ortografía."
You´re correct in that spelling bees don't exist (or are quite rare) in Spanish. There would be a very limited vocabulary available for such a thing. I have, however, seen some confusion even among native Spanish speakers, with words like "votar" and "botar" (they're pronounced exactly the same).
Good speller->Instruido, letrado.
