Sometimes "de" is used and sometimes not in this case...
Why is it sometimes the de is used and sometimes it is not... in the following instances, de is used in the first one but is not in the second one.
Summer camp = campamento de verano
VS.
Army camp = campamento militar?

Because in the first sentence it is a noun but in the second it's an adjective.
The first without "de"= campamento veraniego
"Veraniego"-> description of camp
The second with "de"= campamento de militares -> "de militares" the people is in the camp.
"Campamento militar"-> "militar" is a description of camp.
"Campamento verano"-> have sense if "verano" is the name of camp.
"campamento de verano"-> as well description of camp. The most usual.
