A few everyday usage questions

Hi,

I have two usage questions that I can't seem to find the answers to.

First, when writing a letter or email, it's common in english to say "I hope to hear from you soon" or "I hope to see you soon", right before the end of the letter, kind of like a prelude to goodbye. What would the equivalent of this be in spanish? I've had people say something similar, like when we make plans to meet; I think it's something like "Te estoy esperando" (although this is probably not correct and it makes more sense to say "Te estaré esperando).

Next, when you want to express the idea of being "very sorry" or "so sorry", how is this done? For example, I just realized I have an email from a spanish friend from a month ago that I overlooked. In english I'd say "I'm sorry sorry for taking so long to get back to you" - how would this be expressed in spanish?

Thanks!

For the first, you can use "No (te) tardes en responderme" and "espero verte pronto".

For the second, you can use "Te pido disculpas por haber tardado tanto en escribirte".

but for the first one , on a letter isn't "espero verte pronto" a bit odd? :S - culé, Jul 29, 2010
I don't know the context. It is not if you are talking about a next visit. I'm just putting in Spanish what he asked. - 00e657d4, Jul 29, 2010
But he says; "when writin an e-mail or letter" - culé, Jul 29, 2010
...and you know the contents of what he's writing I guess. That's not unusual to say in a letter if you are planning to visit someone. - 00e657d4, Jul 29, 2010

Hi! well

The first one ; " tengo ganas de escucharte pronto" o "espero escucharte pronto" seem good to me smile

the second : " Lo siento mucho.. muchísimo.. porque he tardado mucho escribirte.."

well , I'd do them like that smile
