The dictionary here will tell you what you want to know, and conjugate the verb for you.

Desear is the infinitive of the verb you're talking about.

Deseará means he/she/it will want, future tense.

Desea means he/she/it wants. Quiere (from querer) also means he/she/it wants.

I always equate "desear" with "to desire/wish". That's really easy to remember "desear" --- "to desire".

Yes "desear" can translate to "to want" I never use it that way.

We had a little discussion about desear/quiero a while back. My opinion is that we American high school students were taught desear first becuase it's easier to conjugate. - KevinB, Jul 28, 2010
Funny ---- the verb "querer" has to be one of the most used verbs in Spanish. - Daniel, Jul 28, 2010
