How do I say "Attend a ground-breaking ceremony"

A new building is being built, and there is a ceremony for the start of construction.

Hola,

If it is literally to celebrate that they are breaking the ground I would say "ceremonia de inaguración/inaugural". Si es porque es una groud-breaking, as in new, fresh, different, I would use "innovadora".

Hope this helps.

In trying to search for the answer I found two possibilities: Ceremonia de Inauguración ceremonia innovadora, but am not sure if these make sense. - slcmg, Jul 28, 2010
