partnership
Could I write "Coaliciones de crédito doble entre las escuelas secundarias y los colegios /universidades públicas de Texas." for Dual Credit Partnerships Between Secondary Schools and Texas Public Colleges? What sounds better: coalicion, asociacion or sociedad?????
Thank you very much!

I'm no native so it might pay to wait for some more answers but another option is 'la alianza' - the alliance as in partnership.
la alianza entre el gobierno y la industria
the partnership between government and industry
But other than that you look like you're choosing from the right words lol. (not much help I know)
Sociedad seems commonly used for partnership.
Disolvieron la sociedad. They've dissolved the partnership.
Of course sociedad can also mean society or company so I'm not sure if that would bring any ambiguity into it's meaning.
Then you have:
to be in partnership with somebody - estar asociado con algn
to go or enter into partnership (with somebody) asociarse (con algn)
I hope that is of some help ![]()
delete this...Upon re-reading it, it comes across as one of those not-to-friendly responses, rather than what was intended.
What is it anyway? Does that mean if I take two years of a language in high school then when I start college I have two years language credit towards my college degree? Is it a one to one credit?: one year of college credit for one year of high school or one year of college for two years at high school level, et. al. Or does it simply mean that if I take 4 years of high school level language that I have no college requirement to take a language course? Do the years have to be in the same language?
These are all rhetorical questions. My point is that your creating a name for something that no one is going to understand what it is anyway. I wouldn't worry so much about the meaning of partnership. People will have bigger questions to ask about the program than if it is an association, an affiliation, coalition, or a partnership.
