desestigmatizar: As I see it, means: do not say bad words for those people, no spread bad rumors, don't point them with your finger.

to remove the disgraceful or ignominious characterization from

ie. just because someone is say suffering from mental problems we would still want to see their value as a person and not put them into a category that in our mind is of little or no value to society or to us.

Realizing that the condition is responsible for any negative aspect of the person's behavious but that underneath she/he is a normal person just like us may help.

Hmm, I don't know but maybe it would be good to just use 'no estigmatizar' hopefully someone will comment....
