What is the real meaning of "me cuela hasta los huesos" in english?

Hi Pilar, could it have been 'me heló hasta los huesos?' That would be 'chilled to the bone' or maybe even in the sense how you would feel if you got a scare...Just another idea.
I think in sentences such as this:
Hace un frío que se me cuela hasta los huesos.
- it refers to a cold that seeps or gets right into the bones. Perhaps - chills to the bone might be the English equivalent.
But I'm not sure if that was your context?
Welcoem to the forum, pilar
Would you mind sending us a complete sentence or the context? This could refer to being soaked (by water)...but maybe something else.
