What does the green check mark mean on some questions?

First, many thanks for all the contributors on this site! I'm having a lot of fun with Spanish here. I notice some questions have a green check mark. What does that mean? Many thanks! ¡Muchas gracias!

Hi...good question!
The green check mark means that the original poster of the question has "accepted" the answer to be the one he/she was looking for.
Be careful because sometimes this is not the only correct answer...look at the comments below the answers for any corrections.

When you are the originator of a question there will be a button, which I believe is green, with the word "accept" on it. By pressing that button you have accepted that answer as the most correct answer for your question. HOpe that helps. - kerflop, Jul 28, 2010
