Are names the same in Spanish
OK my question is that when you have an English name does it stay the same, or do they have a different way of saying your name down there?

Yes. To both questions.
William, for example stays William, George gets to keep being called George.
Guillermo is the same as William Just as Jorge, gets to keep being called Jorge.
It would invalidate his passport if John White went to Argentina and renamed himself Juan Blanco.
But nicknames are different ... if someone liked being called Shorty here, they might want to be called Corto there.

Well, they might have the same name in Spanish, but it changes. Some of the spelling rules in English are different in Spanish.
For example the name Mary is María. Jesus is Jesús. Michael is Miguel.
There are also names in English that aren't in Spanish and there are some names in Spanish that are not in English.
