Mal can be an adjective or an adverb Maria. Es un mal hombre. Es un hombre malo. It's about positioning of the adjective. When used the way you wanted to use it, it was acting as an adjective but the positioning was wrong for the mal from, and need malo - jeezzle, Jul 23, 2010
