Why is this website so slow??

Question

I don't know if it's my computer but I'm having lots of issues with spanishdict.com.

It takes forever for the page to load.

Please use proper spelling and capitalization. There are people here trying to learn Englsh here too. - MeEncantanCarasSonrisas, Jul 23, 2010

While i understand that it can be very frustrating to wait for pages to load.. a number of different factors can contribute to this delay in your situation:

1. Internet connection speed (could be slow)
2. The Operating system you are using eg Windows 7, Vista, XP etc.. the older your system and your computer the more slowly it is likely to run
3. The speed of your computer processor (basically, new = fast old = slow)
4. The amount of internet traffic (ie how many other people are using the internet at the same time) and 5 Any problems Spanish Dict is experiencing on its servers

(I have mentioned the main ones)

Your computer could also be infected by Spanglish.

i am experienceing extremly slow response and i'm on a sony vaio with all the updates

Not for me. On two different computers, using two different ISPs, I'm getting some pretty fast page loads.

SD is slow !!! SD is working perfectly with me and it's not slow at all !

I'm using a new macbook, and it's slow in the morning. Could be heavy user time.

I haven't been having any problems. Perhaps it is your computer?
