This is used in expressions containing two different subjects. The verb in the independent clause must be in the present and express emotion, desire, doubt or denial, impersonal expresions, or some type of request or recommendation.

Por ejemplo: Ojalá (que) vengan muchas mujeres bonitas a la cantina esta noche. I hope some beautiful women come to the bar tonight.
