Do you feel sorry for her?

Do you feel sorry for her?

I don't understand "feel sorry" when not used as "lo siento" at this point. It's because memory fails after awhile. I did learn it once. "te sientes triste a causa de lo que pasó con ella"? Is that right? Or is it easier? Gracias.

How about, ¿Te da pena por ella? or ¿Sientes pena por ella?

Just a side point but I found this quote for the difference between sentir and sentirse that I thought was a helpful explanation.

HOW do you feel (sentirse) No me siento bien.

WHAT do you feel (sentir) Siento mucho dolor en el estómago.

My take is sentirse is a direct feeling and sentir is indirect but both are understood. - jeezzle, Jul 14, 2010
