Question with the Subjuctive

I am having trouble with when to use the subjuctive. I saw this sentance: •Yo quiero que tú limpies el baño. Why not just say: Yo te quiero limpiar el baño.

That would mean "I want to clean the bathroom for you." - samdie, JUL 13, 2010

You wouldn't go with the later because it's less clear. The "you" comes across as the indirect object. What you want done (the direct object) is cleaning the bathroom. Since you have no control over the other person, the subjunctive is used. Interestingly, the subjunctive is closely linked to the imperative.
