A - Z Same word (or almost the same) both languages

I often look for a translation of an English word, only to find that its almost, or even exactly the same in Spanish.

I think it would be helpful to know some of the easiest words to learn.

So lets make an A - Z game out it.

Normal rules, click on "newest", follow the alphabet.

Add both language versions, with any spelling variations, accents etc. ( estación for example. )

Add any further comments, or an example sentence, or a picture if you wish.

A acceptable. ¿Es este juego aceptable? Is this game acceptable?

If you ask for a sample sentence then you need someone proficient in Spanish to correct them., i.e., you need a moderator. - --Mariana--, Jul 9, 2010
Tricky! By the way, "Acceptable" is "Aceptable" in Spanish. Only one "c" - Gekkosan, Jul 9, 2010
I checked it looking for an accent, and missed the c ! Proving my own point. - fontanero, Jul 9, 2010
Remember!, "suspición" is *not* a word. :) - MeEncantanCarasSonrisas, Jul 9, 2010

Hi Jon! this is an A - Z game, so your word should have started with a "y".... - amykay, Jul 20, 2010
Don't worry about it, just carry on with Y. - fontanero, Jul 20, 2010

cantina / canteen

En español, se puede comprender "cantina" como "cafetería" - en estación, en universidad, en fábrica. Es un comedor. También en inglés se dice "canteen".

Pero "canteen" tiene otra sentido en inglés: "cantimplora" - que no posso usar por/para (?) nuestro juego.

Se nota que "cafetería" es también una palabra con amigo en inglés: "cafeteria".
