First off, I just wanted to say that it was really cool being able to hear everybody's voice, their real voice, on the chat earlier today (Thursday). Really nice to be able to put voices to the usernames that 'hides' us all.

Anyways, so it was great to be able to utilize my awesome condenser mic that I just bought!! You all should buy one. I think that alone could make the chats that much less chaotic. When a few people started talking, it was really hard to make stuff out..and sometimes even when only one person was talking, I think due to mic quality or maybe something else (Skype software shoddy?) it got pretty shaky and unintelligible at times. With that said, I still thought it was really awesome.

Samdie - when this guy talks english, I could have sworn he had a teleprompter telling him what to say. He's really a well spoken individual. I just babble and spout random things comparatively. Kudos - keep it up.

She - nice hearing the voice from the Phillipines. Don't let that night shift kill you!

Marianne - I always run across your 'millions' of posts! Nice to meet you! Thanks for calling me and reconnecting me after I disconnected like 3 or 4 times.

Heidi - my partner in crime. We must terrorize more ESO kids together when I come back this fall.

Hope to do another chat again sometime with everyone including the people I didn't mention. Hard to remember all the usernames..

Charlie, fue un placer conocerte también! Me encanta tu acento española.

I think it's because of the microphones too. Please everyone, get a good headset!!!

Also, some people with good microphones need to realize that we can hear everything that goes on around you....so don't munch on chips while we are chatting ...lol.

Oh yea, just wanted to re-iterate Marianne's comment on the mic quality. OK, getting a $100 USB studio condenser mic is probably overkill (though that would be AWESOME). However, you can still buy budget mics for your computer (headsets) that work well. You really do get what you pay for. I swear some people were talking through an internal mic built into their laptops or something b/c it was SOOOO hard to hear for some. So always make sure you're using an external. In spite of all that, still enjoyable, just thinking of ways to make it even more so.
