I dare you to....

I dare you to....

What is the best way to say: "I dare you to..."?

Te reto a que saltas de aquel puente. I dare (challenge) you to jump off that bridge.

¡A que no te atreves a saltar de aquel puente! I bet you won't dare to jump off that bridge.

Are those correct? Is there another way to say this? Am I correct that I cannot say "Te atrevo a...."?

Thanks.

Te atrevo a... is not correct. Te reto a que saltes... is correct--- A que no te atreves a saltar -- is correct too :) - Benz, Jul 8, 2010

Hola, Alba.

Veo en el diccionario esto:

to dare to do something = atreverse a hacer algo

to dare somebody to do something = retar a alguien a que haga algo

So, I think you've got it right (or very close) with "Te reto a que saltas de aquel puente."
