me quedo + Past Participle

How can I say in Spanish: 'Now I am relaxed. Now I feel better.' when somebody tries to comfort me after something not very pleasant has happened. Is it the right way to say: 'Me quedo más tranquila'? Does the participle change here: tranquila/tranquilo? Thank you.

Ahora me quedo (más) tranquilo (a).

quedar

  1. With a past participle it is often employed in place of estar, to be. (n)

Therefore, tranquilo(a) would be an adjective and show concordance rather than be an adverb modifying a verb.
