put = poner (verb)

verbo transitivo

1 poner (place); colocar (carefully)

2 to put something into something -> meter algo en algo

3 to put one's arms around something/somebody -> rodear algo/a alguien con los brazos

4 she put her head round the door -> asomó la cabeza por la puerta

5 to put a man on the moon -> enviar un hombre a la Luna

6 to put a limit on something -> poner un límite a algo

7 plus much more . . .
