Am I translating this properly:
She looks good for her age - Ella parece bien para su edad
-or-
She looks good for 96 - Ella parece bien por tener 96 años.

I am not sure if what you have listed sounds right, but I have seen the following used to express a similar sentiment:
Aparenta (mucha) menos edad de la que tiene (realmente) - she looks (much) younger than she (really) is
Parece mentira que tenga 96 años - Its hard to believe that she's 96 years old
No aparenta los 96 años que tiene - She doesn't look like she's 96
Tiene 96 años pero no los aparenta para nada. - She's 96, but she doesn't look it at all
No aparenta sus años/No aparenta su edad - She doesn't look her age
You could also say it in this way:
Parece más joven de lo que es = She looks younger than she is
Which is an indirect way of saying that someone looks good for their age and may be considered more of a compliment as it is more specifc and less vague/obscure than saying: "You look good for your age"
