I would say:

"I have tasted heaven" = He probado el cielo (which can mean "sky" or "heaven")

You could use the preterite tense of saborear (to taste or savor) such as:

Saboree' el cielo.

We are not talking here of a literal tasting but more of a experience it is a figure of speech when someone experiiences something Wonderful - FELIZ77, Jun 25, 2010

You're right, Feliz. I was thinking of a sentence I read which said "I have savored life itself", which is why saborear came to mind, but probar is probably the better choice - Lorenzo. - lorenzo45, Jun 25, 2010
