You are correct as to comer. The jugar and venir have the stem changes so this may be what blblblbl was referring to. Then there's the "yo" form of hacer. Hacer and venir have an odd little twist in the preterit. Who is that darling baby? :-) - Delores--Lindsey, Jun 24, 2010

I use the Spanish Verb book by Richmond, it's very well received on Amazon. It puts similar verbs together in groups to make conjagating them easier. Buen suerte ptl

Click on my profile and look at my flashcard sets. I have flashcards of all the most common irregular verbs. (70 I think).

The best thing to do when you come across a new verb is to look in the dictionary and find out if it is irregular. Actually, on Spanishdict, if you will click on the more, you will notice a tab for conjugation. Click on this. Then type in the verb that you want to see conjugated and you will be shown the complete conjugation.

Jugar and venir are considered "regular" but with spelling changes in the stem. Hacer only makes a spelling change in the "yo" form

Verbs are irregular when they don't follow the standard "regular" patterns.

Example: ir - to go voy, vas, va, vamos, van

Buena suerte! smile
