does the adjective go before or after a word? example: a strong commitment- would it be un compromiso fuerte o fuerte compromiso?

Hi and welcome to the SpanishDict forum.
Most times the adjective goes after the noun.
Take a look here at this lesson and you'll see some cases where the adjective should go first.
In your case I believe that it would be "fuerte compromiso " because the adjective goes to the essential quality of the noun.

Thanks aolt... I was always confused about that.... in spain they often put them after but in the states i've noticed they use it before the noun... quite confusing...lol - 69Cancerian, JUN 24, 2010
